Director of Human Resources
Responsible for the overall direction, strategy and design of all Human Resources and Payroll services. Directly involved with policy development, planning, recruitment and selection, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, pension, health and safety, collective bargaining, HRIS and research. Responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety initiatives which include Worker Compensation claims management, chairing the Occupational Health & Safety Committee and facilitating the development of safe work methods to ensure compliance with legislation. Responsible for the primary management and referral of discrimination and harassment complaints and for facilitating the early resolution of complaints consistent with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Karen Holbrook
Benefits Administrator and Assistant to the Director of Human Resources
Responsible for benefits, pension and worker’s compensation. Areas of involvement include completing the group benefit billings and claim administration, pension tracking and forms, worker’s compensation reporting and data entry on the HRIS, completing surveys and various Human Resources initiatives. Other areas of involvement include payroll back up, responding to general group benefit and pension inquiries, and assisting with the maintenance of the HRIS.

Human Resources/Payroll Administrator
Responsible for collecting, verifying and processing bi-weekly payroll information for all agency employees, and updating and maintaining all related records.

Recruitment, Training, and Wellness Administrator and Assistant to the Director of Human Resources
Responsible for assisting with agency wide recruitment and selection, completing Human Resources-related surveys and reports, and assisting the Director of Human Resources with daily operations of the department. Responsibilities include reception and providing administrative support to the Human Resources department and acting as first contact for the department. Other areas of involvement include conducting new employee orientation and training, benefits back-up, responding to general inquiries with regard to recruitment and selection, assisting with the maintenance of the HRIS, and monitoring the wellness program.
