Clinical Internship Opportunities

At CSAC, we believe a foundation in community mental health work is important for anyone joining the field. We primarily accept second-year students pursuing a masters in social work, counseling or psychology, and we are sometimes able to accommodate students pursuing a first-year practicum as well as students seeking an internship for their bachelor's degree.

If you are interested in a clinical internship at CSAC, please email a cover letter detailing your clinical interests, resume and the internship requirements for your program to Lea Calderon-Guthe, lcalderon@csac-vt.org (to work with adults), Emmy Harvey, eharvey@csac-vt.org (to work with children).

  • Please note that this position requires the employee to have an NPI (National Provider Identifier) number in order to bill for services.  If you do not already have an NPI number, CSAC will apply for one for you as part of credentialing.  The federal department of Health and Human Services is responsible for issuing NPI numbers.  It’s important to understand that HHS will not issue an NPI number for anyone with unpaid taxes or other federal obligations.
