Population Served

Access Outreach Program A home and community-based emergency outreach to children and families experiencing conflict. Children, Adolescents and families.
Addison County Outdoor Equipment Co-op (ACOEC) The Addison County Outdoor Equipment Program was founded with a grant to purchase outdoor equipment to be used by troubled youth in group activities, supervised by therapists.  Five youth are given the opportunity to gain confidence and skills by managing the co-op.  They will learn to maintain the equipment while working with staff in a mentoring relationship.  
Children's Adventure Treatment The Children's Adventure Treatment provides therapeutic adventure activities and team building exercises to children with serious emotional problems.  The program helps children to gain mastery through skills, develop social skills, process their issues of emotional control and problem solving skills. Children in elementary and middle school who are in need of increased self-esteem, confidence and social skill development.
Emergency Team Immediate, professional response to mental health crises - 24 hours a day. All ages.
Equestrian Partnerships Children and teens living with social, emotional and behavioral challenges learn to ride and care for horses under the supervision of skilled therapists.  This program helps young riders develop self-esteem and self-confidence, accept responsibility for choices, learn social skills, manage emotions and build trust.   Children and adolescents.
Families with Children with Developmental Disabilities There are many families in Addison County who have children with developmental disabilities at home.  The Counseling Service's Community Associates program works with families by providing respite, information, activities for children, special equipment, etc. Children birth - 22 years of age.
Family Advocate Project The Family Advocate Project (FAP) is an Intensive Family Based Service (IFBS) that provides assistance to families where there is a child at risk for an out of home placement.  The FAP also works with families where there is a child returning home after an out of home placement. At-risk children and their families.
Office-Based Outpatient Services Office-based clinicians offer therapeutic interventions to children and their families. All age children and families.
Omnibus Provides individualized, community based, family centered interventions to children experiencing an emotional and/or behavioral challenge and to their families. Children and families experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges - all ages.
Pre-School Outreach Program Intensive home-based therapeutic interventions for at-risk children. Children 3 - 5 years of age.
S.C.O.P.E. SCOPE (Shelter, Counseling, Outreach, Prevention, Education) provides a range of voluntary services to adolescents and their families.  While some of our services are targeted to help teens who are homeless, runaway, or in other high risk situations, many activities and groups are open to the general teen population.  Our program works to prevent the placement of adolescents in the foster care system. Adolescents and their families.
