Last Updated: April 15, 2008 Employment Opportunities with CSAC Adult Outpatient Clinician: Seeking experienced full-time (37.5 hours per week) clinician to provide office-based individual and group psychotherapy to adults with a wide range of mental health and substance abuse issues. Master's degree and VT Mental Health and/or Substance Abuse License required. Must possess excellent clinical skills, including psychosocial assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and record keeping. Excellent benefits package. Community Integration Specialist(s): Responsible for providing individualized community based services to individuals with developmental disabilities with the goal of inclusion in the community. Good working knowledge of the needs and abilities of the developmentally disabled. Ability to support consumers in all types of situations, with patience, insight, and compassion. Good record keeping, writing and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with other agency personnel in the implementation of the individuals ISA. High School diploma, or equivalent, plus two to four years of relevant experience in working with the developmentally disabled, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Valid driver’s license and adequate personal insurance, use of personal vehicle required. There are five positions available, three are 30 hours per week, one is 32.25 hours per week, and one is 32.5 hours per week, all are eligible for benefits. Community Support Worker: seeking candidate to work primarily on weekends plus one or two days during the week. This position entails the provision of outreach support services to adults coping with the impact of mental illness on their lives. We are seeking someone who has excellent communication skills; who has an ability to work with clients with patience, insight, and compassion; and who can work well with a team. Must have own transportation. Excellent benefits. 30 hours per week. CRT (Community Rehabilitation and Treatment) Substitute Support Worker: Provide outreach supports to adults coping with psychiatric disabilities in their homes and in the community. Work flexibly as part of dynamic interdisciplinary treatment teams in planning and providing supportive counseling, skills teaching, and other services to assist individuals in their process of recovery. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills; the ability to treat consumers with patience, insight, and compassion; and an ability to work well in a team environment. Bachelor’s Degree with some prior experience in human services preferred, or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Must have own car, auto insurance, and good driving record. This position is a contracted opening with varied hours, not eligible for benefits. EBD Teacher: To provide academic and skill instruction to adolescents in an integrated mental health/educational program for students in 7th through 12th grades. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a teaching license in the appropriate area of instructional specialization, grades 7 – 12 preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with extensive knowledge and experience in instructional specialization with teaching experience. Teaching experience with children with severe emotional and behavioral challenges or other mental health issues preferred. Emergency Team Clinician: Seeking a part-time (20-25 hours/week) master's-level mental health clinician to join our talented Emergency Team. Provide phone and face-to-face assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization counseling. Primarily office-based, no overnights, additional substitute hours possible. Master’s Degree. Must live within thirty minutes of Middlebury. Requires solid assessment and planning skills, ability to think on your feet, a strong team orientation, and a belief in community mental health. This position is eligible for benefits. Individual Residential and Community Support Worker: To provide intensive residential and community support to a CRT consumer as part of 24/7 support team. Implement prescribed treatment and support plans. Support consumer around daily living tasks such as daily household chores, planning, shopping, and preparing meals, laundry and room cleaning, and improving interpersonal skills. Associate's Degree in appropriate field plus experience in working with mentally ill; or combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Knowledge of, or desire to learn about, the needs and abilities of the mentally ill. Ability to deal with clients in all types of situations, with patience, insight and compassion. Ability to work effectively with other agency personnel in the implementation of client program and goals. Valid drivers license, good driving skills, use of car necessary for daytime support shifts. Contracted position with flexible hours. IT Assistant: To assist our team in implementing an electronic medical record package and be a primary backup for network maintenance, troubleshooting, and daily operations. Must be a team player and work well with end users. Associate's Degree in Networking required and/or comparable experience in IT related field. Full time position (37.5 hrs/wk) with benefits. Personal Care Attendant: Seeking person(s) to provide personal care support to a 19 year old woman before school and/or after school/weekends. This woman enjoys music, nature and car rides. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred, but not required. Knowledge of sign language and behavior support a plus. $10.00/hr., flexibility in building your schedule. HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license needed. Psychiatrist: To join our innovative interdisciplinary practice. Our highly regarded non-profit community mental health center is centrally located in Middlebury, a unique New England small college community. Our diverse practice includes consultation with Middlebury College. Responsibilities include shared back-up outpatient coverage of our experienced Emergency Team. This position is full time with excellent benefits. Qualifications: BC/BE. Child/adolescent psychiatry experience would ideally complement adult expertise. The Middlebury-Burlington area offers excellent schools and outstanding cultural and four season recreational resources. Residential Instructor: Work as part of a dynamic team supporting four-five men who experience developmental disabilities in their home and community. The home is a therapeutic environment focused on community inclusion and life enrichment. High school diploma or equivalent plus two to four years of relevant experience in working with the developmentally disabled, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Good working knowledge of the needs and abilities of the developmentally disabled. Must have the ability to support consumers in all types of situations, with patience, insight, and compassion. The ability to work effectively with other agency personnel in the implementation of the individuals ISA is also a must. Good record keeping, writing and communication skills. Valid driver’s license, adequate personal insurance, and use of personal vehicle required. One full time, benefitted position available. This position's weekly schedule is as follows: 9 a.m. on Sundays through 10 a.m. on Mondays; 8 p.m. Mondays through 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. School Interventionist: To work in year-round program for middle and high school-aged emotionally and behaviorally disabled students. Provide direct intervention and training to foster development of social skills, effective behavior, daily living and academic or pre-academic skills to children. Bachelor's Degree in education or the human services field. Educational qualifications may be waived given relevant work experience and demonstrated skills in core job competencies. Some experience with children necessary. Must possess valid driver's license, registered vehicle and insurance that complies with agency policy. Desirable: Experience with youth with disabilities. Full time (37.5 hours per week) position without benefits. Service Coordinator: For the Community Associates Program. 30 hrs (5 days) expanding to 37.5 when resources allow. Develop, coordinate and monitor supports for individuals with developmental disabilities. Need skills and experience with this population, proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to identify concerns and problem solve, writing/documentation skills, flexibility and adaptability. Qualifications also include a B.A. degree and good driving record. Benefit package includes medical, dental, life insurance, generous paid time off. Special Education Lead Teacher: To direct and plan academic instruction to adolescents in an integrated mental health program consistent with areas of deficit as identified in student IEP or 504 plans. Master’s degree in Special Education, licensed or eligible for licensure, in Vermont are required. Full time (37.5 hours per week), school year position with benefits. Substitute List - Community Associates: Set your own schedule! Provide direct service support to people with developmental disabilities on an ‘as needed’ basis in Addison County. High School diploma or equivalent, valid driver’s license and the ability to lift required. Good communication skills, flexibility and creativity a must. This position sometimes acts as a stepping stone to other positions. $9.64 per awake hour and $8.00 per overnight hour.
